Hi all,

Our quarterly product Statement of Direction went out yesterday, giving you an advance view into the new features under development for this quarter. For the full details on recent and forthcoming changes, please see the attached page at this link.

With all the feedback we’ve received from many of you, we understand that now, more than ever, it has never been more important to cultivate existing customer relationships, where we have to listen, work together to solve problems and support one another on this journey.

As we’ve mentioned before, Sales Navigator can be a great tool to help you identify new tools, but right now, it’s crucial to understand that it can also be a great resource to help build and maintain meaningful relationships with current customers. So, here’s a sneak peek of the new features and enhancements coming this quarter that aim to support you in cultivating relationships, further identifying buyer interest, and driving more efficiency in your team’s day-to-day efforts.

Top New Enhancements & Features Coming This Quarter:

  • /For both Enterprise and Teams license holders] Account list updates will give you a complete view of the book of business, allowing sales teams to prioritize accounts and identify opportunities for outreach based on their target accounts’ most relevant LinkedIn activity.

  • >For Enterprise license holders] To help you really understand your customers’ challenges and opportunities, you’ll be able to efficiently import a CVS file of your accounts to Sales Navigator. Additionally, for customers with CRM Sync activated, we’ll bring Opportunity information directly into Lists* so that users can better prioritise through the lens of deal progression.

*CRM Sync is required, will be available for Salesforce Sales Cloud this quarter and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales next quarter

  • Plan training sessions on updates to your sales process that ensure your team quickly takes advantage of the new features.

Sales Navigator Administrators should:

  • Remind users to review the product update details that will be shared with them in an announcement around November 11.
  • Take advantage of early access provided around November 18 to familiarize yourself with the changes.
  • Encourage users to engage in training opportunities offered by your organization and/or LinkedIn.

Next steps on product announcements:

Great to know that SmartLinks will support URLs and videos. Also delighted to learn that for those of us on the Enterprise level we can import CSV files of accounts; especially handy for me while I'm waiting on my IT dept to enable the CRM sync feature.

@Nadia Vieira do you know if the CSV import also works for people (contacts) as well as accounts (companies)?

Agree! That's one thing we have been missing since transition from PointDrive!

Thank you for the feedback, @Paul L and @Justyna B. I'm also super excited with the Smart Links enhancements, as these have been asked my many of you in the Community. 😊

@Paul L the import CSV option for accounts is great, right? This has also been asked in the Community, so it's good to finally see it come to life. Answering your question, at the moment the CSV import will only work for accounts (companies.) The upload will be matched using the accounts in the CSV file with the LinkedIn/Sales Navigator companies. For future product iterations, would you also like to have this for people (contacts)?

Good news 😊

These are great updates! Our end users will be excited to hear about the CSV file and expanded Smart Links capabilities. Our leaders will be happy to view total revenue sourced or influenced whenever they want. Looking forward to the upcoming release!

Looking forward to see how OP stages (from Salesforce) are reflected on accounts this would be really valuable for sales/marketing when the are working moving the OP from initial interest to close won. @Nadia Vieira is there any sneak user interface of this feature ( Account list updates)?

So happy to hear that, @Tamika B! I really like your approach in highlighting the key benefits that the upcoming features will bring to the different personas involved in your Modern Selling program. It only shows how well you understand your audience and what they're looking for. You're doing a great job as a Program Manager! 👏

I completely agree, @Alexander M! I think your mindset is exactly what we were aiming for, as this will allow an even greater relationship between Marketing and Sales teams when it comes to working together and leveraging SN to help them streamline their customer journey.

Answering your question, yes, we do have a sneak peak of the account list updates. If you visit this presentation, you'll see an example of how the account list updates will look like, and, additionally, how all the other features will work.

Important note: please keep this information between you and your internal teams only, as this is an exclusive early view and these features are still under development. We're releasing the final product update in mid-November and by then you'll be able to confirm how all the new features will work.

Hope this is helpful and let me know in case you have any immediate feedback you'd like to share with us and our product team. 😊

Still looking for a way to see users profile and to connect right inside of gmail. Is that an option?

Hello, @SanDee D.

Unfortunately, the Sales Navigator for Gmail has been sunset. As a workaround, I'd recommend reviewing the resources below:

  • If you'd like to use Sales Navigator InMails to communicate with leads, learn more here.
  • If you'd like to use Sales Navigator to find leads and accounts, learn more here.
  • If you'd like to find connections on LinkedIn, learn more here.

Hope this is helpful and feel free to reach out in case you have any additional questions.

Thank you,

Nádia

***UPDATE***

Hi all,

In the past year, we’ve seen our customers’ needs — and their use of Sales Navigator — rapidly evolve. Sales Navigator has become increasingly essential as the world moves online and sellers seek more effective ways to connect to the right buyers virtually.

If you haven't heard, we have a new Sales Navigator experience coming soon in January 2022:

We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the (new) features of each plan at the links above or watch the recording of the new Sales Navigator lineup experience.

In addition, I want to call out that auto/system-generated Lists and ROI Reporting (via CRM Sync) will be available for only the Advanced Plus plan beginning in January 2022.

Thank you and please let us know if you have any questions,

Eva C.
